The Perfect Family-Friendly Hotel in Asheville, NC
If I’ve said it once, I’ll say it a thousand times…finding the perfect hotel for your family while on vacation can either make or break your trip. For me, cleanliness, comfort and convenience are definitely the key. (I also realize that as a Hilton Mom Voyage family travel-blogger you may think that my opinions are slightly swayed toward getting you and yours to rest your head at a Hilton property; however, that couldn’t be farther from the truth and especially in this particular situation.)
Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park is a marvelous hotel, and in addition to my “Magic 3 C’s” listed above, they truly exceeded my expectations at every turn. Listed here are three more great reasons why I think you and your family will feel the same way.
Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park is located about 10 minutes from downtown Asheville, NC, about two minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and just around the corner from the very useful I-26, which we traveled on to get just about everywhere we went.
It also happens to be located smack dab in the middle of Biltmore Park Town Square which is home to a number of different restaurants including Travinia Italian Kitchen, P.F. Chang’s, Hickory Tavern Grill & Raw Bar, The Thirsty Monk, Cold Stone Creamery, Rocky Mountain Chocolate and many more. The Town Square also offers several specialty stores and boutiques for shopping, and the Regal Biltmore Grand Stadium 15, in case you want to chill out and catch a movie. Did I mention that just off in the distance there are also beautiful mountain views…need I say more?
I know that just about every hotel offers decent amenities these days but I felt that the amenities at Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park were super family-friendly and as a mom, I must admit, I really appreciated that. First of all they have an inviting and expansive lobby complete with fresh-fruit flavored water, coffee (in the morning), snack mix and a family-friendly open bar area set off toward the back. It was the perfect setting to grab a local beer (and a Shirley Temple for the kids), an appetizer and catch a few highlights of your favorite game or just relax on a comfy sofa or a plush, inviting chair after a long day.
They also have a large heated indoor pool and hot tub, both of which are open until 11 pm and can be used year-round. The hotel property also includes a lovely, full-fledged day spa that offers facials, massage, body treatments and a full nail salon where both mom and daughter can enjoy a mani-pedi special.
Finally, they also have an on-site restaurant that uses fresh, local food to source their menu (farm to fork), and everyday they offer one of the freshest, most delicious breakfast/brunch buffets that I have ever eaten. And, it’s basically ready the minute you sit down to eat, aside from the made-to-order omelets and waffles of course. Now, that’s what I’m talkin’ about.
If you’ve ever been to a lovely hotel and received poor customer service or had to deal with rude, unaccommodating employees, you understand how that can ruin any vacation in a hurry. Let me assure you, this is NOT the case at Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park. In fact, I’m not sure if I have encountered a more helpful, kind and accommodating staff anywhere, ever.
We stayed at the property for five days and everyone was always happy to help with a big, genuine smile. The bellman made a special trip to our room to bring extra chairs for our balcony, and the I.T. guy gave me a personal call, after business hours, to help me connect the WiFi to my laptop. The assistant manager helped me with directions to my next day’s location every night after the concierge had left, and the chef cooked up the local mushrooms I had foraged. None of these people had any idea that I wrote for Hilton Hotels & Resorts; they were simply just interested in making my experience an enjoyable one. And, they certainly did!
If you and your family are planning a trip to Asheville, NC I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Actually, I guess I am a bit biased. Not because I’m a Hilton Mom Voyage family travel blogger, but because Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park played a huge part in making my family’s vacation a happy one!
