Why Hilton Vilamoura Is One of the Best Kid Friendly Resorts
One of the best features of Hilton Vilamoura As Cascatas Golf Resort & Spa is the Paradise Island Kids Club. We have been on Disney cruises and vacations and to many hotels and resorts, but this kids club was the all-time favorite with my boys. Paradise Island Kids Club is one of the largest in Europe, allowing plenty of space and activities for fun times and making Hilton Vilamoura one of the best kid friendly resorts we’ve experienced.
The Play Area
I can’t remember any park or play area that has as much to keep kids busy as Paradise Island Kids Club. The most popular attraction is the dual zip line which my kids raced towards each time we went to the kids club. There’s also a tree house with slide attached, a pirate shipwreck with ropes to climb on, lost treasure boxes to explore, and a boat which will “leak” water as my sons discovered. That doesn’t even cover the “smaller” places to climb, play, and discover. An enclosed kids pool is also located in the Kids Club. Add in grassy areas, sand boxes, and a covered patio with table and chairs for coloring or other arts and crafts, and you can see why this is one of the best kid friendly resorts around.
Like most moms, I am extremely picky about who cares for my kids, and I had no hesitation leaving them at the Kids Club. The staff doesn’t just monitor the kids, they actively engage them in activities and play with the children. One morning my son asked if face painting could be the afternoon activity, and the staff made it work with the schedule. Granted, we were staying before peak season, but it was obvious that the people working there want to ensure that the kids have a great time while in their care. A big shout out to Miriam, David, Ana, Alexandra, and Catarina who ensured that Paradise Island Kids Club was the first thing my kids told people about when they got home!
The Kids Club is open for parents to come and go with their kids at no charge which is a great way to introduce your child to the area and make them feel comfortable while you are with them. You can drop your child off for an hourly or half-day fee. If you are going to be at the resort several days, there’s even a multi-day pass you can purchase. I felt that the fees were very reasonable for the amount of attention, care, and activities available. In fact, I thought it was one of the best deals at the resort…especially since it allowed my husband and I to relax at the 7 Seven Spa together!
