Travel Review – Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
Best Beach Resort for Families in Oahu
Standing anywhere near Waikiki Beach, you cannot miss Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. A “village” describes the resort perfectly. Every amenity you might need on vacation is located at one of the best beach resorts for families in Hawaii at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort.
The resort consists of a multitude of restaurants, shops and activities. At the beach and lagoon you can rent boats, get surf lessons, go snorkeling or book aquatic tours. If my kids were not on one of the wild water slides at the pool, they were on the paddle boats that we rented in the calm waters of the lagoon.
The guest rooms are located in five different towers. We were fortunate enough to stay in the Rainbow Tower. This tower is highly recognizable with the rainbow decoration on the side of the building. The Rainbow Tower has amazing views of the harbor or Diamond Head from the other side. Make sure and tour the entire village, it is landscaped beautifully and you will not believe all the resort has to offer. I loved all the shopping, and my son’s favorite was viewing the penguins!
We could have been fully entertained and never left the resort, but I recommend you do otherwise. Waikiki Beach is amazing, but there is so much more to see on Oahu. Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort is a great base for day trips exploring the island.
We found our favorite spot on the north side of the island from a tip in a tour book. The beach was called Sharks Cove, and it was some of the best snorkeling we have ever experienced. We also saw turtles sunning themselves on the beach, took a jeep tour at Kualoa Ranch where they filmed Jurassic Park and Lost, saw the spinner dolphins from the east side of the island, and snorkeled on the south end at Hanauma Bay.
You will be pampered and have everything at your fingertips staying at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. Enjoy the wonderful resort and make sure to venture outside of Waikiki to see the rest of Oahu. My kids still tell me that Oahu is their favorite Hawaiian island and can’t wait to return.
