A Pet Friendly Hotel – Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa
As an Arizona native I have been to Sedona many times, but I see it differently with every visit. Sedona is a peaceful town north of Phoenix filled with art galleries, spiritual centers and gourmet restaurants, but it is also a great place for kids! This past trip I was able to show the kids my favorite spots in Sedona and discover new ones as well. My family, including our dog, had the opportunity to visit Sedona and stay at Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa.
Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa is located right as you come in to town driving from Phoenix. It overlooks your first views of the red rocks of Sedona. The scenery from all around the resort is spectacular. My daughter commented that it did not look real. She was teasing that it looked like a movie backdrop, it was that amazing.
I liked the choices available for accommodations. The rooms are spacious and you have the option for a living room and separate bedrooms. Our room had a fireplace, kitchenette, separate bedroom as well as a patio. It made the room feel like home and allowed my family to spread out and relax. There is a great pool for kids that I thought was unusually peaceful. It must be the Sedona vibes that relaxed everyone. Golf, as well as an on-site spa, is also available.
Pets are welcome
My favorite part of the resort was their pet program. We have never traveled with our small dog, but knowing that we would be outside for most of our trip and reading about the Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa pet program, we thought we would give it a try. What a great experience!
When we checked in our dog was given a goody bag with dog treats and pet supplies. Pets are allowed on the patio at the on-site restaurant and there is even a special pet menu. Our room led to an open patio where we could walk our dog and enjoy the view. It has become more popular for people to travel with their pets, and Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa knows how to accommodate you.
Things to do in Sedona
Hilton Sedona Resort & Spa is close to anything you want to see in Sedona. My husband and I wanted to take our kids to our favorite spots that we visited with our parents. We went to Slide Rock State Park, Red Rock State Park and we could not miss the Sedona Fudge Company.
Our favorite adventure of the weekend was a sunset jeep tour with A Day in the West. We chose the “Aliens, Bigfoots and Orbs” tour to explore the paranormal activity that Sedona is known for. Our experienced guide kept us entertained with countless facts and stories as we viewed the beautiful rocks as sun went down. Pet lovers, dogs are also welcome on the jeeps! Sedona is a great family experience that my entire family enjoyed.
