10 Destinations for Tennis Getaways
Here’s the situation: For ages now, your tennis team has been talking about taking a girls’ weekend together. Everyone is in agreement that they want to travel somewhere new to explore, play tennis and hang out together. You and several of your team mates have Hilton Honors points to use, so finding a Hilton resort with tennis facilities is the perfect solution.
As the member of two tennis teams, I am in a similar situation. So I’ve done the research and found plenty of options. Maybe this will be just the nudge my (and your) tennis team needs to finally make our own plans. Here are 10 Hilton resorts that offer tennis facilities to consider for that dream team getaway.
Our Picks for the Best Tennis Vacations
Southwestern United States
For those who like to enjoy the outdoors, Sedona is a great destination, and Hilton Sedona at Bell Rock makes a great home base for exploring the area. It has a full-service gym and spa which includes three outdoor tennis courts. They also have rackets to lend to hotel guests. There are plenty of options for day trips: hiking trails, winery tours, horseback riding and Jeep tours to occupy your time when you’re not on the courts. My family visited here last spring and hope to return when there is no rain in the forecast!
With tennis in its name, you know you can get your tennis fix at Hilton Tucson El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort. The resort has 31 tennis courts, 45 holes of championship golf, six pools and an Elements Spa on-site.
The Fess Parker Santa Barbara Resort has three lit courts that are available for complimentary use for hotel guests. In addition, rackets and ball machine rentals are available, as well as private and group lessons.
Located just six miles from the airport on 18 acres overlooking Mission Bay, Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa offers convenience, beautiful views and several outdoor hard tennis courts.

Hilton New Orleans Riverside is adjacent to The Health Club, an athletic club with a number of amenities, including the city’s only indoor tennis courts. Hilton guests pay court fees to have access to seven Plexipave hard court surfaces in an air-conditioned space. Talk about luxury!
Guests at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa have access to 15 outdoor courts at the Sandestin Tennis Center (3 hard courts and 12 HydroGrid clay). The hotel provides regular shuttles to and from the tennis center.
The luxurious Conrad Miami provides convenience to a major airport, the beach and offers two roof top courts equipped with flood lights to allow for night play when the Florida heat has subsided.
Hilton Key Largo Resort would be a good choice for a group of outdoor enthusiasts. In addition to two outdoor hard tennis courts, the resort also offers a myriad of water activities including snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, parasailing, fishing and sunset cruises.
For Really Special Getaways
As a bonafide “tennis resort,” Hilton Waikoloa Village has hosted tennis competitions in its 432-seat stadium. There are eight Plexi-cushion hard courts are at your disposal along with tennis clinics and lessons offered six days a week.
With the beachfront access, multiple infinity pools and swim-up bars, Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort would make for an amazing girls’ tennis trip getaway. The hotel does have two tennis courts, if you can convince your group to leave the poolside. My family loved this resort and hopes to return someday soon!
