El Conquistador Tucson, a Hilton Resort
There is no doubt about it, Arizona is a beautiful state. I have lived all over Arizona and no other city showcases the beauty of the desert like Tucson. The desert seems undisturbed there, and the mountains frame the gorgeous scene. My family and I recently had an opportunity to stay at the newly renovated El Conquistador Tucson Resort and loved all the changes.
3 Reasons Why El Conquistador is the Best Resort in Tucson, AZ
1. Outdoor Spaces
Staying in Arizona is all about being outside. Our first stop was the pool. The expanded pool deck allows for more seating. We had no trouble finding lounge chairs while the kids found the water slide. Poolside activities as well as a taco bar and barbecue were going on as well.
Besides the main pool, there is a separate children’s splash pool, a hot tub, and cold plunge pool. The pools are separated by beautiful landscaping, so they all felt secluded. Sunning by the pool was a great way to melt away the stress and start the weekend.
After the pool, we quickly went back to our room to change and go to dinner. Although Tucson has many great restaurants, the best views were right at the Hilton resort. We found the perfect spot at the Colibri Lounge. This indoor/outdoor location is a great choice for a casual dinner for families. We sat on the newly expanded patio and had a delicious dinner while listening to a Native American flute player and watching the sunset.
Other dining options at the resort include Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails, Sundance Cafe, Desert Springs Bar & Grill, or choose the Grab & Go for quick snacks and Starbucks coffee.
We never left the resort, and there because are so many things to do on-site. We were given a Guide to Fun & Adventure at check in, and the schedule included many options.
The spa offered family hikes and fitness classes for adults. There were daily poolside games and even an Kids Club. El Conquistador Western Adventures is located onsite and offers horseback trail rides or family hayrides.
The resort not only incorporated the outside in the public spaces, but the newly renovated rooms also contained the vibe. The muted colors and spacious rooms made my family feel at home.
Our favorite aspect of the room was the patio. I loved opening the screen door to have a front row view of the desert. My family enjoyed the desert and our stay at the beautifully renovated El Conquistador Resort.
