Hilton Ocala: A Central Florida Fun Spot
Wow, just wow! As a native Floridian who grew up smack dab in the middle of central Florida, I thought I knew all the best places to visit and stay. I can’t believe Ocala somehow slipped off my radar. Big mistake, my fellow family travelers, because Ocala, and the Hilton hotel that’s located there, are awesome. No doubt about it!
If you’re interested in a beautiful location that takes you back in time to what “old” Florida actually felt and looked like, just head to Ocala for some exceptional outdoor enjoyment and all around family fun. With an area of just under 40 square miles, Ocala is a central Florida city that offers visitors a deep and rich history of the Sunshine State’s first settlers (including the Timucua and later the Seminole Indian tribes) and also provides unparalleled natural landscape.
Contrary to most other areas in Florida, Ocala boasts rolling hills and artisan springs. The area is also considered “Horse Country” due to its large quantities of natural limestone, which helps to raise strong and healthy horses.
Stay at One of the Best Hotels in Ocala, FL
When searching for the best hotels in Ocala, FL, look no further than the incredibly quaint, yet contemporary, and newly remodeled Hilton Ocala. It’s everything you’ll want for your family and then some. I mean, it’s not everyday that you find a hotel with a resident Clydesdale. And, especially not one that you can visit literally almost all day from the large and sprawling back property or take carriage rides from on Sunday mornings. That’s unusual hospitality at its finest, and I’m just getting started with this place!
Hilton Ocala Location and Amenities
In addition to being conveniently located within minutes of I-75, yet tucked back on a beautiful piece of property, this lovely hotel also offers guests everything you’ll want or need while visiting this splendid area. A beautifully remodeled hotel with spacious and clean rooms: check. Excellent customer service at every turn: check. Heated pool with hot tub: check. Twenty-four hour Fitness Center: check. Ridiculously delicious food, hand-crafted cocktails, a to-die-for Sunday brunch, and some of the finest Bloody Mary’s I’ve ever seen (or tasted)…yep, you guessed it: check. They even provide the option to have a private Chef’s Table experience where you can select your very own customized menu and hand-crafted beverages. Talk about a culinary journey!
Honestly, the list of amenities and shining accouterments goes on and on. Your family will love the back property with the chef’s personal garden where he hand picks herbs for use in their fresh food and beverages and the sprawling outdoor exercise stations. And did I mention the Clydesdale and the carriage rides on Sunday mornings? It’s straight-up goodness.
Club On Nine
In addition, if you choose to stay on the 9th floor, at Club Level, you’ll have access to Club On Nine which hosts a myriad of extra treats too. Guests who opt-in for the 9th floor will be privy to weekly cocktail receptions, chef demonstrations, live music and a special “club area” that’s open seven days a week. Club On Nine provides complimentary breakfast from 6:30 to 10 am, locally sourced and home grown bites from 5 to 7 pm and featured hand-crafted cocktails from 5 to 8 pm. Now, that’s what I call love on the daily.
Yeah, it’s definitely time. Time for you to go visit Ocala. And when you go to check-in at Hilton Ocala, ask if I’m there…I’ve been seriously thinking about moving in.
